Kalmar
Nordic Art Exchange was part of the Kummel festival, a yearly art festival in Kalmar Sweden. 6 artists from 5 countries worked for one week in Kalmar to make an exhibition in the Kalmar Palace Park. Artists participating in the NAE were from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Poland. I mixed together coins from these places to make drawings into five cement blocks. Materials: Cement and coins from Iceland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Poland, the Kalmar Palace Park and passerbyers. Method: Spontaneous drawing with coins on five 50 x 50 cm cement blocks that were then mounted into the walkpath of the Kalmar Palace Park. Click on the photos to enlarge them if possible. |
